Polaris introduces new ATV, side-by-sides at dealer meeting

Polaris Industries unveiled its 2013 off-road lineup at its dealer meeting in Las Vegas last night, with a new 850 ATV leading the pack, followed by a pair of new Rangers and updates to the RZR line.

The Scrambler 850 XP is Polaris’ latest ATV. With 70 hp, it goes 0-30 mph in 2.16 seconds. It’s limited to 80 mph top speed. The Scrambler features race-tuned exhaust, sport styling and a 75 lb. rack capacity. It retails for $9,499. The L.E. version, which retails for $11,999, includes FOX shocks, handguards, LED lights, new cast black wheels and premium paint.

Two models were also added to the Ranger lineup — the Ranger 800 Midsize and the Ranger 900 XP. The 800 Midsize has a proven midsize chassis design, more than 50 quality improvements, an 800 EFI engine, strong work capability, great recreational performance and a top speed of 55 mph, according to Polaris. The MSRP is $10,499. The Ranger 900 XP features a completely redesigned chassis, more than 500 improvements, a new 900 EFI purpose-build work engine, improved ride and handling, integrated PG&A solutions and improved comfort with adjustable ergonomics and low noise and vibration. The base model retails for $12,999, while with paint and EPS package runs at $14,799, and the Browning edition’s MSRP is $15,799.

All RZRs for 2013 features more than 50 consumer feedback improvements. The 570 LE features Electronic Power Steering, improved downhill control with Engine Breaking System, tighter turning with unlocking rear differential and secure dry storage with a built-in Lock N Ride storage case. The 800 RZRs include improved ground clearance and handling with new high performance and dual rate springs and the Engine Braking System. The RZR XPs also feature improved ride and handling with the exclusive use of Walker Evans shocks.

Polaris also introduced new military vehicles, including the model year 2013 MRZR.
