What a Machine. I traded my 2004 RX1 for the sled of the year. I also own a mint 2001 SRX 700 triple. I have owned Yahmaha for twenty years. The 2006 Apex GT is another reason Yahmaha is ahead of everybody. This machine is awesome, the mid range power is dangerous. Even for a rider with over twenty years of experience. Off the line, top end it has everything. Did not lose one race on the frozen reservoirs of the Tug hill plateau. Also incredible on the trails; a real pleasure to drive. I was disappointed in 04 with the RX1's power. Yahmaha has now gotten it all togeather. This machine is powerful in the looks department also. Always attracts a crowd. Even from Cat owners.
Upgrades/Accessories: The olin shocks are unbelievable. The forward steering is remarkable. The camoplast rip saw track is great. The RX1 was also equipped with this track. Also the drop in weight reduction from the previous RX1 models is impressive. All together a true legend and great machine. The only complaint is the price. Manufactures must look at price breaks for their big sleds.
